VISIBILITY ACROSS THE VAST SIBERIAN PLAINS
When a truck delivers to one of Uralelektrostroy’s construction sites, the driver doesn’t want to be kept waiting. The weather across the Western Siberian plain can be uninviting and sometimes just skin-blistering harsh.
It takes more than the howling winds and roaming wolves to deter the teams at Uralelektrostroy from building and operating their power grids, transmission lines, and generation facilities however. But they still like to avoid frostbite, as do the delivery drivers.
NO MATTER WHERE THEY ROAM...
The company manages sub-contractors minutely and that makes a big difference to the bottom line as well as to the timeline.
MASTERS OF TIME
This is where smart management of data has been invaluable. It simply makes everything faster. The organisation uses Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management 8.1 to gain the full picture across all its assets to drive capital asset lifecycle management, workforce planning (optimised allocation of a specialised workforce) and, above all, to master time. Since the data comes in faster from dozens of constructions sites, resource delivery is faster.
FEWER SITES, MORE PROFIT
Roman Aleksandrovich Naumenko, Head of Information Technology, LLC Uralelektrostroy says that Oracle’s Primavera P6 EPPM 8.1 “drastically changed” the way the organistion runs its business.
He refers to the organisation having reduced the number of redundant assets. Its streamlining plan reduced the number of construction sites by 30% (from 35 to 25) by identifying unprofitable sites.
